Answer #1:

I would start off with a counselor or psychologist...I would not think you need hypnotherapy unless one of those thinks you need it...a counselor can not gi ve you meds if you need them, a psychologist has more education and can give meds if needed...and hypnotherapist ..hypnotize you and help you deal with stuff that way....

Answer #2:

I suggest you undertake sessions with someone qualified in both hypnotherapy and psychotherapy.
Hypnotherapy will help you learn how to relax socially, and psychotherapy can help you to resolve the
cause of your social anxiety.

The defference between them:
"Counselling is generally a shorter to medium term confidential professional relationship between therapist and client. Psychotherapy is similar to counselling but is longer term and thus may manifest
deeper and longer term changes within the personality organisation.
Hypnotherapy is an adjunct to both counselling and psychotherapy in which a trained hypnotherapist aids a client to access deeper states of mind which were otherwise hidden or unaccessible to consciousness."

Answer #3:

I would recommend hypnotherapy personally, it can really help. I have had it done for self esteem and have really found the benefits of it. Would recommend reading the article below and also checking out
