Answer #1:
The Beatles said it best..."Let it Be". Why is it bizarre? Is it bizarre because you think it's bizarre? What about what he thinks? I have seen and listened to several people who sounds like someone else when they talk, so what? Embrace the fact that you still have a father no matter who he sounds like when he speaks. One day, he will be gone and you will wish that he was sitting right there with you talking about Rush...think about it! Be strong!Answer #2:
I totally understand. I live in Spartanburg, South Carolina and used to share a house with a friend to save on rent. He, too is a Rush Limbaugh addict and his own authentic personality has little by little vanished. It is sad.
I think what that other respondent doesn't understand is that you wouldn't bring it up if you Didn't Care. His answer was just attempting to put guilt on you when you are searching for help for your father because you Do Care. Your father's true personality is slipping/has slipped away. This is the same thing as brainwashing.
It doesn't matter who is doing the "preaching" -- that's not the point, it still is brainwashing and your father just happens to be a willing candidate and at this point probably doesn't even understand he has been brainwashed. I am hearing you and you are not alone.
I would suggest the two of you to go to professional counseling together. If your father can't stop listening daily that only suggests stronger brainwashing. Ideally, he can limit listening to 1 x week and possibly in the end, begin social activities with humans outside of being alone with his radio. That's what he really needs for optimum mental health. Best of Luck!!
