GSIL Housing Counseling Program receives 49 716 grant from HUD

Granite State Independent Living (GSIL) has been awarded $49,716 from U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to provide comprehensive counseling services. GSIL has a long and distinctive history of providing services for the more than 159,641 people with disabilities in New Hampshire and was the second largest recipient of these highly competitive HUD grant funds in the state. The HUD-Approved Housing Program at GSIL offers housing and financial information, counseling, and support to people with disabilities who wish to live more independently. Program offerings include; credit counseling, debt management, Individual Development Accounts (IDAs), Fair Housing Laws, Rental Counseling and EasyLiving Home of NH. “The receipt of these funds from HUD, in these tough economic times, means Granite State Independent Living will be able to continue to provide high quality housing counseling and assure that persons with disabilities have access to safe and secure housing,” said Clyde E.
